Library & Student Services

Welcome to the Library

Welcome to Leeds Beckett University Library.  For both new and returning students things are different this year so please see below for a summary of our services and how we can support your studies.

Welcome message on chalkboard

Our Library website provides access to thousands of electronic resources for your studies. You can use our Discover academic search engine to find these or look at the online guides created for each subject. You can also find your reading lists alongside your modules in MyBeckett.

Help with getting set up with IT, including digital security, using MyBeckett and accessing lectures online is available on our IT Support pages.

Our Academic Support team will help you develop your academic skills including essay writing, referencing and research skills. Our new look Skills for Learning website has lots of useful resources and you can book to attend free online workshops via MyHub. You can book online or phone appointments for help via the form on our Skills and Subject Support web page.

If you want to study in the Libraries you must book a time and individual space via Book a Study Space. The number of spaces is currently very limited. We are open 09:00 - 21:00 Monday - Friday and 11:00 - 17:00 Saturday and Sunday.

You can only borrow print material via our Click and Collect service. Please ensure you follow all the steps in this process and have an appointment to collect your books before you come to the Library. You can return books to collection points in either Library during the opening times above.

Please remember to bring your masks with you to campus and wear as directed as well as observing social distancing and hand hygiene when you are on campus.

Extra support continues to be available via our website and online appointments with our Disability Support Team.

Please get in touch if you need any help using the Library. Contact us via email or 24 hours a day by phone (0113 812 1000) or chat (bit.ly/LLIContactUs). Our YouTube channel also has lots of quick videos to get you started with using our services.
