During the lecture, Anne-Marie reflected on the findings from her research in community engagement, community wellbeing, social isolation and loneliness, and considered what information is still missing from the evidence base, who and what is still ‘invisible’ and whose voices still need to be heard. She concluded by suggesting possible explanations for the mystery of the missing evidence, proposing solutions for researchers looking to address health and wellbeing inequalities, and explained what steps she is taking to address this through her current work on community places and spaces and community wellbeing. The lecture was well attended by a wide range of external stakeholders, who asked probing questions, with lively discussion continuing at a drinks reception.
