Admission Interview Guidance
Thank you for your interest in our BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing/BSc (Hons) Mental Health Nursing course. The information provided here will assist you in preparing for your interview and will give you an idea of what to expect.
Do remember that an interview is a two way process and that you should treat the interview as an opportunity to ask the course team questions.

The interview session is designed to identify those applicants who demonstrate the values that align with the NHS Constitution as well as those who evidence the right skills and aptitude in accordance with Values Based Recruitment.
The date and start time of the selection session have been confirmed to you via email.
Your interview will be held online using MS Teams. You will be send a link via email prior to your interview.
If you will be accessing Microsoft Teams from a different email address to the one you have given us, please let us know as soon as possible at UCASAdmissions@leedsbeckett.ac.uk
Access to MS Teams will differ depending on the type of device you will be using. If you will be using a desktop computer or laptop to attend your interview, you should be able to attend simply by clicking on the link sent out via email. If you are using a smart phone or tablet you will need to download the free MS Teams app prior to your interview date before being able to access the given link. If you have a headset, we advise that it is used with the device you will be logging into the interview with.
You will be required to have your camera turned on during your interview, so please check this is working prior to your interview.
If there is a genuine reason why you are unable to attend at your allocated date/time please contact ucasadmissions@leedsbeckett.ac.uk and we will do our best to find an alternative date/time. However, due to high demand it may not be possible to reschedule your interview immediately.
You will take part in an interview with members of the Course Team and a member of the lived experience group. The interview will last around 15-20 minutes and will be conducted via a video group chat on MS Teams.
At the start of the interview you will need to show your interviewer a form of photographic ID, such as your passport, driving licence or school/college ID card. Please have your ID available and camera turned on at the start of the interview to avoid delays.
You’ll be notified of the outcome of your interview via email.
We may include submission of your GCSE English Language, Maths and Science certificates and any level 3 or higher qualifications that you have achieved. If this is a condition of your offer, your certificates should be emailed to ucasadmissions@leedsbeckett.ac.uk
If you are unsuccessful, we will also notify you via email.
Once you have a confirmed offer, you can apply to live in University accommodation. Further details about the accommodation the University has to offer and how to apply can be found on our website:
If your offer is confirmed, we will send you further details about completing a DBS (formerly Criminal Record Bureau) enhanced check and the occupational health screening questionnaire. The health screening process will establish your immunisation status. Once you have started the course, you will receive any additional immunisations needed to comply with the requirements of healthcare professionals.
