BA (Hons) Criminology
Criminology examines why crime happens and how societies respond to it. On this Criminology degree, you’ll explore key criminological theories and apply them to contemporary issues in crime, justice and social policy.
On this course, you’ll:
- Study core criminological theories and perspectives on crime and justice
- Explore a wide range of optional modules, including topics such as Green Criminology and Bizarre and Rare Crime

BA (Hons) Criminology with Psychology
Our Criminology with Psychology degree combines the study of crime with psychological approaches to understanding behaviour. This course is designed for students who want to explore how psychological theory helps explain offending, victimisation and responses to crime.
On this course, you’ll:
- Examine psychological theories linked to criminal and harmful behaviour
- Explore topics such as forensic psychology, mental health and offending
- Learn how psychology informs investigations, courts and criminal justice decision-making
- Build experience through placements, volunteering, and practitioner-focused modules
- Learn from experts in forensic and criminal psychology
BA (Hons) Sociology and Criminology
On our Sociology and Criminology degree, you'll explore the social forces that influence crime and criminal behaviour.
On this course, you’ll:
- Explore the social conditions linked to crime, harm and justice
- Study sociological and criminological theories, including youth crime, social exclusion and media representations of crime
- Critically analyse responses to crime and social harm
- Take part in workshops, collaborative projects and observational field trips
- Complete a dissertation in an area of sociology or criminology that reflects your interests
