As part of this course, you'll:

  • Study a traditional LLB qualification, adding an additional year to prepare for the SQE1, which must be passed to qualify as a solicitor
  • Develop your understanding of the law, studying essential LLB modules that vary from the English legal system to criminal law, commercial law and international human rights law
  • Discover how the rule of law applies across a range of contexts, including legal, social, economic, commercial, political, historical, ethical and cultural
  • Embed practical skills development into your learning and gain an insight into the legal sector with an optional placement year
  • Tailor your study to match your career aspirations as you choose from a varied portfolio of optional modules taught by experts in these fields
  • Prepare for the SQE by studying the Foundations of Legal Knowledge as determined by the Solicitors Regulation Authority
  • Explore concepts of professionalism and the demands of professional practice as a solicitor throughout the course

As this course is an integrated master's degree, your fees and maintenance loan will be covered by your undergraduate student funding.

*Separate fee payable to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) to sit these external examinations.
