What we do
Accommodation and Residential Services offers over 4000 bedrooms across a wide range of accommodation within the City. The team offers advice and guidance on choosing and booking accommodation and handles all room allocations. The Residence Life team are able to solve many areas of concern that you may have about your accommodation or University life. They will give advice, mediate, deal with emergencies or even just take the time for a chat. They have a good understanding of University life and the wide variety of issues faced by students.

What we do
The Beckett Award is a Students’ Union employability award which allows students to reflect on the skills developed through extracurricular activities e.g. volunteering, societies and develop their ability and confidence to discuss their key competencies to future employers. If completed successfully a formal award will be achieved and presented at Graduation.

What we do
We help students and graduates with everything to do with career planning/decision making and applying for jobs or further study. This includes connecting you with employers via events, fairs, job listings & employability programmes, providing a wide range of careers information and resources, and 1-1 support for in-depth careers guidance.

What we do
We offer support, information and guidance on disability related matters within our University. Support is available to students with a range of disabilities and long term conditions such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, mental health conditions (e.g. depression, anxiety), long term health conditions (e.g. epilepsy, IBS, diabetes), autism, physical or sensory conditions.

The Library and Student IT Advice team offers advice and support on all library and student IT issues. This includes; passwords, PINS, student email, Wi-Fi, MyBeckett and other learning systems, printing, laptop loans, personal devices and Office 365.

What we do
This Students’ Union initiative aims to provide ongoing support to graduates, including a mentoring programme where graduates can provide support and advice to students. The programme will provide yet another route into our alumni community for final year students and all graduates of Leeds Beckett. The Graduate Network gives graduates access to volunteering opportunities, continued SU society membership, mentoring, online guidance and support to access to university services such as our careers service.

We provide support and immigration advice for international students and University staff. SIAC are the University's designated immigration advisers and keep up to date with the rapidly changing immigration rules and guidance issued by the Home Office. SIAC ensure that, as a licensed sponsor, Tier 4 duties and responsibilities to both our students and UKVI are met.

What we do
The Incomes Team is responsible for the issuing of invoices and the collection of all invoiced charges and debt recovery by the University. Students can contact our Credit Controllers to discuss our University payment terms (in relation to Tuition and accommodation fees etc). We also have an Incomes Counter Service, who are responsible for receipting and processing University income.

What we do
We welcome and support international students coming to study at the University. We also facilitate study exchanges for incoming and outgoing students. Our Volunteering team organises many overseas volunteering opportunities on a range of projects including teaching, sport development, sea turtle preservation and rainforest conservation plus many more over the summer months.

The Library supports your studies with 24/7 opening, a variety of study spaces, thousands of resources, access to your modules, assignments and reading lists via MyBeckett and academic skills workshops with Skills for Learning. Our Placement teams have a wealth of experience in supporting undergraduate students with work placements and have developed excellent links with companies that are keen to recruit our students. We can help you develop your CV, provide advice on interview techniques and assessment centre hints and tips, as well as one to one appointments to help you find a placement. For students in Health & Social Care and Education, placements are often a compulsory part of your course and your dedicated placement teams will allocate your placements for you.

What we do
Leeds Beckett welcomes students from all faiths and none. We have a lead Chaplain, Revd Melvyn Kelly, who is one of the team which serves Leeds Beckett and the University of Leeds. The Christian Chaplaincy team offers support to students of all faiths and no faith and can signpost to advisers from other faith traditions, if appropriate. Faith Spaces for prayer and quiet contemplation are available at both campuses.

What we do
The Student Advice Hub provides the first port of call for students, from Welcome onwards. They support students through induction, help them keep on track or find their way back on track. They refer students to other specialist services, as necessary.

What we do
The Societies Department supports students who want to lead or join societies. Societies can vary from course based to faith based to student media to political and campaigning and much more. We offer training and support to society leaders to enable them to run society events, improve their employability and also support students to set up new societies.

We are based at City Campus on the first floor of Portland in office PD102. Normal working hours are Monday to Friday 10.00-18.00. You can call in and visit us or book an appointment. What we do
The Student Voice shapes what we do as a Union. We exist to make sure that students’ needs and ideas are supported while they study at Leeds Beckett and Student Voice is about having their say, campaigning on the issues that matter to them and getting their voices heard at all levels of the Students’ Union and University. We do this in a variety of ways including course representation, the Have Your Say tool and student Forums that focus on Education, Welfare, Equality & Diversity and Activities, campaigning and lobbying, elections and more; including research, consultation and training and development opportunities.

The Student Wellbeing Team is made up of professional and experienced staff and offers a free and confidential service to all students. We provide information, practical support, and therapeutic support to help manage any difficulties you may be experiencing.
We are also part of the Zero Tolerance Support Network, and provide students with support following an incident of sexual violence including providing information on how to report the incident as well as help accessing specialist support.
We provide support for Student Survivors of Gendered Violence on a one-to-one basis to all genders for any of the following:
Sexual assault, abuse or rape / domestic abuse / controlling relationships / harassment / stalking / any other form of violence or abuse
