Ghana Entry Requirements

You can find information below containing the minimum qualifications you will require. This varies depending on whether you want to study an undergraduate or postgraduate degree. Entry requirements do also vary for each course, but the information here will give you a general guide.

As well as your academic qualifications we will also consider your personal statement and references. If you are studying A Levels or the International Baccalaureate, you can find these entry requirements on the course pages in our Online Prospectus.

Ghana Entry Requirements

Qualification: West African Senior School Certificate

Grade: 5 passes at grade C6 or above

IELTS: 4.5 overall with no skill below 4.5

Qualification: National Diploma or General Certificate of Education - Advanced Level

Grade: Lower credit or grades to match UK A-level requirements in our prospectus

English language requirements: IELTS 6.0 with no skill below 5.5 or West Africa Senior School Certificate (WASSCE/WAEC) – English Grade C/6

Qualification: Bachelor Degree

Grade: Second class - lower division (50%) for courses requiring 2:2 or Second class - upper division (60%) for courses requiring 2:1

English language requirements: IELTS 6.0 with no skill below 5.5 or West Africa Senior School Certificate (WASSCE/WAEC) – English Grade C/6
