Welcome to Leeds Beckett University! Now that you’re settling into your new home, you might be wondering what a students’ union is.

Leeds Beckett Students’ Union (LBSU) is a not-for-profit organisation, and it’s our mission to make students’ lives better! We do this by representing your interests, giving you the chance to meet new people, gain CV-boosting skills, job opportunities, and providing advice and support when you need it most.

Have your voice heard

Course Reps empower students on every course to collectively shape their learning, assisting the Students’ Union in effectively representing your academic experience and making sure you receive the most from your education.

Meet new people

Societies are student-led groups based around shared hobbies and interests including course subjects, religions and cultural backgrounds.  If you want to meet like-minded people, joining a society is a great place to start! Can’t find the one for you? Start your own with the help of LBSU. Fancy trying something new without having to commit to a membership? Have a look at the Give It A Go programme and take this opportunity to explore Yorkshire.
