Here you will find information regarding travel from Leeds Bradford International airport, Manchester airport, and in the UK.
Leeds Bradford International Airport is the closest airport to Leeds Beckett University. The airport is located just six miles from our Headingley Campus and eight miles from our City Campus. From this airport you can take a taxi to your accommodation, which should cost approximately £25. You can catch the bus for less than £6. The A1 FLYER bus departs from Leeds Bradford International Airport every twenty minutes. The journey lasts around 30 minutes, making stops in Horsforth and Kirkstall before arriving in Leeds city centre.
Manchester Airport is the UK's busiest airport outside of London and is about 50 miles from Leeds. From Manchester Airport you can get to Leeds by train for about £25, coach for about £15, or taxi for approximately £50 - £100. Both the train and coach stations are located within the airport building.
We recommend flying into Manchester or Leeds Bradford Airport where possible. Arriving in London is less convenient than arriving in Manchester or Leeds, especially if you have a lot of luggage! Heathrow and Gatwick are a six to seven-hour coach journey which costs between £20 to £40 depending on how early you book your ticket. Coaches are direct to Leeds. Trains to Leeds can cost between £50 to £150 depending on how early you book you ticket. It is also possible to board a domestic flight from London Heathrow to Leeds Bradford Airport and the flight time is an average of one hour. However, flight costs can range from £130 to £280.
