Deborah Green, Director of Marketing at Leeds Beckett, said: “We are thrilled that our work has been recognised by sector experts in this way and it was a very proud moment for our Marketing Service. Our customer-focused approach was central to the development of the new, fully mobile responsive site, which was the result of three years planning and extensive research. Our website is central to our digital marketing strategy and I am delighted this work to place us at the forefront of digital communications has been recognised.”
The HEIST Awards category judge described the website launch as “an incredibly difficult project to deliver at a crucial stage, producing an extremely clean and clear website; a simple proposition done really well.”

The ‘Welcome to Leeds Beckett’ campaign included a ‘100 days to Freshers’ social media countdown aimed at students starting in September 2014, helping them to feel part of the University community before joining, whilst providing them with key information about their new student life. The campaign used Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr and a new student Twitter account.
The University’s marketing team was presented with their awards by BBC News presenter Jeremy Vine during an event at The Palace Hotel, Manchester, on Thursday 9 July.
The Heist Awards are delivered by Havas People and recognise and celebrate the professionalism, expertise and innovation found in the further and higher education marketing sector.
