Protecting our wellbeing whilst working remotely

These challenging times can increase our levels of worry and stress. This makes it even more important to look after our mental health, that of our teams and those we care about.

What's available

IT Skills - Working Remotely

As a result of the recent government guidelines, a number of colleagues may be working remotely for the first time.

We have pulled together some useful IT resources and tips for helping you to work from home.

New webinars now available

We are excited to introduce to you a range of new webinars to support your development whilst working from home. The webinars are available to book by emailing the POD inbox and letting us know the session and date you would like to attend. Details of our webinars can be found under the following category pages:-

Leading Self - Within Leading Self you will find sessions designed to help support your wellbeing, develop positive working from home practices and discover strategies to help thrive in times of change.

Leading Others - Whilst under the Leading Others category you will find webinars for managers on topics such as leading through change, managing a team remotely and making an impact.

Alongside our webinars we have a range other development options available and ready for you to access -

IT skills - On our IT skills pages you will find resources to support you with using the Microsoft suite at home, links to IT support and details of IT training available remotely.

Project Management web pages - For those of you responsible for projects, our project management pages provide guidance on planning a project and resources to support you to deliver it successfully.

Wellbeing resources - Our colleagues wellbeing pages are full of information to help you to stay well whilst working from home alongside signposting and support resources for when you need them most.

Coaching and Mentoring On our coaching and mentoring pages you will find details about the support we are able to offer at this time. These include one-to-one conversations with colleagues from our internal network of qualified coaches and experienced mentors. These confidential, typically one-off conversations, will be held virtually online and are an opportunity to discuss any current challenges you may be facing.

We have also now adapted the existing new starter induction checklist and created a 'remote working induction checklist', specifically to support the induction of new starters whilst working remotely.

If you can’t find what you are looking for or if there is something specific you feel would be of benefit for your team at this time, please get in touch with us to talk further at

They provide expertise in all aspects of H.E., such as curriculum, research-informed teaching, learning, assessment and feedback, face-to-face, digital and blended H.E. pedagogies.
