research field station

An exhibition display and space to showcase your enthusiasm for your research interests, located on the Upper Ground Floor of the new Leeds School of Arts building.

Sited on the Upper Ground floor of the Leeds School of Arts building, the Research Field Station provides a setting for our staff and PhD candidates to share their research.

The three-metre long display cabinet, seven plinths, five picture frames and accompanying printed edition that comprise the Research Field Station provide a platform for our researchers to display their most up to date work. As such, the Research Field Station offers a glimpse into live research projects often ahead of publication - allowing staff, students, and visitors a view into some of the most exciting projects our academic staff and students are delivering.

While located within the Leeds School of Arts building, the Research Field Station is also a vehicle for our researchers to share their work further afield. Research Field Station exhibitions and publications have led to our researchers receiving reviews in The Guardian, the realisation of new work published by the Edinburgh University Press, and to promote academic conferences. Our PhD candidates often find the Research Field Station a useful forum for developing their writing about their research as they work towards writing their thesis for their PhD viva or sharing their work soon after completion.

To visit the Research Field Station, access the Leeds School of Arts building via the Upper Ground Floor entrance on Portland Way.
