The Leeds Beckett University American football programme is comprehensive, with opportunities available for student athletes to coach the younger teams and work within local schools. Many students have developed their coaching skills through this along with attending courses delivered on campus and in the local region.
The team has developed strong links with coaches in the USA and Europe and there are opportunities for athletes to use these to further their American football playing experiences.
We understand that to breed success players must be treated as individuals and their programmes will incorporate; coaching, strength & conditioning sessions, analysis, and physiotherapy. The programme’s motto is: ‘The Relentless Pursuit of Excellence’ – we expect every student-athlete to join us fully in this endeavour.
Leeds Beckett University has a free Injury Clinic at our Headingley Campus - giving students the experience they need for massage and injury treatment under supervision from qualified staff (only available during term times)
There are also various physio clinics in Leeds but we generally use Coach House Sports Physiotherapy Clinic (Alison Rose’s clinic physio to Kelly Holmes and Jessica Ennis)
