Professor Jackie Labbe

Professor Jackie Labbe is Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost at the University of Gloucestershire, where she has worked since June 2021. She has also served as Pro-Vice-Chancellor at De Montfort University and the University of Sheffield, and as Director of the University Graduate School at the University of Warwick, where she gained her personal chair.

Jackie is a scholar of Romantic-period literature and has written six monographs, edited several collections of essays, and published more than 40 academic papers. She is the leading authority on the novelist and poet Charlotte Smith. She has two grown children and lives in Cheltenham with her partner and two cats.
