Anti-Racist Award Coach

Zahara is Head of Whole School Diversity, Equality, Inclusion and Wellbeing, and PSHE Lead at The Beaconsfield High School. She is also founder of the blog and podcast, School Should Be, which amplifies diverse student, parent and educator voices on a range of topics that ‘should’ be at the centre of education. She has written about diversity and inclusion for SecEd, Schools Week, Diverse Educators and her blog and podcast has featured in The Guardian and Grazia Magazine.

Zahara is very passionate about encouraging brave conversations, the power of listening and connection in schools, which she believes is central to inclusion and wellbeing in education. Previously she has been a Head of English, Associate Senior Leader, Wellbeing and an Education Consultant. She is also an advisory board member for the GEC app and co-chair of Trustees for the charity, Solutions Not Sides.
