Seksarit Thanaprasittikul

Senior Lecturer

Seksarit started his career in fashion education as a lecturer in fashion design at a university in Thailand after graduating Bachelor’s Degree in fashion design from the ArtEZ University of the Arts, Arnhem, The Netherlands. In 2014, he completed an MA in Fashion Design Technology Menswear from London College of Fashion and continued teaching fashion design in Thailand.

Seksarit's practice-based research focuses on finding new possibilities in a design methodology that minimizes waste from the clothes-making process through experimental design approaches. It involves an investigation of fabric waste in fashion design practice and a transformation of left-over fabrics into new designs.

Alongside his teaching career, Seksarit ran a menswear collection in Thailand, worked as a freelance designer, and designed capsule collections for clients and labels, including the Japanese label “FMH” and exported Thai brand “Alita Pleats”. His professional experience includes working and placement at Ann Demeulemeester, Carol Christian Poell, and Wim Neels.
