Franchise Collaborative Partners modules

Welcome to the Franchise collaborative partner modules start-up guide.
Use this staff guide to help you prepare a new module or update a copied module in line with Leeds Beckett University's agreement with Collaborative Partners.
This guide only applies to collaborative partners who are contractually entitled to use modules.
- The steps in this guide also provide helpful tools and templates to enhance your module design.
- This will ensure a better user experience for all of our Collaborative Partners and their students.
- MyBeckett opens to the Homepage which contain Helpful Links cards. Please see our guides on the different Portal Views for Franchise students.
If you are copying a module from a previous year, follow the steps in our guide to copying content in the updated guide for MyBeckett Ultra.
Please note that the following content items are not to be copied:
- Turnitin assignments
- Links to the University reading list system
- Links to any digitised readings
This is because collaborative partner students do not have the licences agreements to access this type of content - these will be visible to staff but we ask not to deploy them, these are checked and logged regularly as part of our data usage.
Modules in MyBeckett have a wide range of core functionality, which you can use to provide a clear learning journey and a consistent, engaging experience for your students. This also presents an opportunity to address key design principles and implement them into your module, such as:
- A clear structure and headings with topic/date based navigation using Learning Modules and Folders
- Accessible fonts and styles use the inbuilt Accessibility Tool regularly
- Module discussions for communication and collaboration building a sense of communtiy
- Links to Library resources for Franchise Partners using a template. Please contact the Digital Learning Service for support as needed.
