Travelling Around Leeds
We're sure you'll agree, Leeds is a wonderful city. But how do you get around it? Whether you're on City Campus or Headingley Campus, you can get to and from most places via public transport. There are plenty of options, so go out and explore!
There are various buses you could get to university depending on where you live and where your campus is:
Headingley to Leeds: 29, 97, 1, 6, X84
Burley to Leeds: 49, 50, 50A
Whether you're in Headingley or Burley, there is a train station a short walk away. Trains into Leeds run around every 30 minutes from these stations and take 5-10 minutes.
If you want to head into York to explore this historic Yorkshire gem, you catch a train from Leeds, Headingley or Burley station and it takes roughly 1 hour. Alternatively, there’s Ilkley on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, with a picturesque river and an impressive moor!
If cycling is your thing, Leeds is a bike friendly city with plenty of bike lanes. Even better, Leeds Beckett offer a Bike Hire service so if you've not got it with you, not to worry!
Cost-effective and a great way to keep fit, you can walk!
Burley to Leeds Centre: 20-25 minute walk
Headingley to Leeds Centre: 40-45 minutes
