We have just launched our Beckettsphere Scheme

Beckettsphere provides an opportunity for staff and student teams from across our university to create and implement sustainability projects which will have a positive impact within the university and the wider community. The scheme provides structure and support to ensure that teams can have a meaningful impact whilst completing a project focused on sustainability that they are passionate about. These could range from growing cardboard eating mushrooms in the Secret Garden to bringing awareness to jobs in sustainability or running a citizen's jury. Projects are audited by our students and are given awards based on the impact and reach they have had.

Teams can be made up of staff, students or a mixture of both and can come from any area of the university. For example we have had in the past teams from societies, a Corporate Communications team and  Teams made up from academic colleagues and students.

We also have some funding available to help your projects have bigger impacts and we will be sharing templates and case studies to help you generate ideas.
