Turn your experience into greater impact
You already make a difference to learners. Take the next step in your education journey and develop the knowledge, confidence, and expertise to transform learning experiences and support positive change.
Designed for teaching assistants who have completed a Level 5 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship or FdA in Learning Support, this online degree in transforming education will develop you as a knowledgeable, reflective, and innovative practitioner. You’ll explore how people learn and develop, critically examine educational practice, and discover how inclusive, evidence-informed, and digitally-enabled approaches can help learners thrive.
You’ll learn to analyse learning environments, design effective interventions, and adapt your approach to meet diverse needs. By exploring education policy, professional roles, and organisational structures, you’ll also develop the confidence to question existing practice, make informed decisions, and contribute to meaningful change.
As part of this course, you’ll:
Learn, connect, and transform your practice
Study online and take your learning straight into your professional practice. Designed with working education professionals in mind, this flexible degree enables you to develop your knowledge and skills while continuing to build experience in your current role. With part-time and full-time study options available, you can choose a pace that works for you and your career.
Join the Carnegie community
You’ll become part of the Carnegie community within our Carnegie School of Education, learning alongside students from a range of education and teacher training programmes. Through online learning, discussion, and collaboration, you’ll share ideas and perspectives with fellow education professionals while developing your own practice.
Research-led learning
Your learning is informed by the latest research and focused on the challenges facing education today. You’ll explore inclusive practice, digital pedagogies, learning and development, and evidence-informed approaches, considering how they can be applied in real educational and professional contexts.
