Project management is an important facet of organisations across all sectors and industries. As part of your course, you’ll:

  • Manage the people, time and financial resources that are required to deliver successful projects
  • Enhance your knowledge of the principles, roles and techniques of project management
  • Learn how to use contemporary digital technologies, including project management software
  • Develop the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels

Feedback and progress assessment, extra-curricular seminars, field trips and the involvement of industry experts as guest speakers will enrich your learning experience and your knowledge of current issues in the project management context.

Hands-on experience
On the sandwich route, you’ll gain real-life experience of working within the profession through a work placement. Your practical knowledge and understanding of project management will also be enhanced through our links with organisations who will encourage you to apply for work placements, visit their organisations, and assist on real life projects.

These practical experiences are a vital part of the course and will enable you to apply your theoretical knowledge in the workplace. They also provide the ideal basis for the final year of your degree when you’ll be focusing on the professional applications of project management.
