Leeds Beckett University and its Students’ Union are committed to working in partnership with our students to ensure that our University is an inclusive, safe and engaging learning environment which is conducive to study for its students and work for its staff.

Our Student Charter sets out how we can do this by working together to understand and fulfil our commitments to one another. To learn effectively both staff and students must actively engage with one another and we will support you to engage with all aspects of your learning as best you can.

Leeds Beckett has been awarded Silver Status in the National Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) in recognition of our learning and teaching provision, course design and links with employers. The University is also renowned throughout a variety of industries for providing world class graduates. With an impressive 97% of our graduates in work or further study six months after graduating, we are now ranked fourth in the UK for graduate employment, according to the latest figures from the Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) survey.

Our commitment to our students is a priority at Leeds Beckett, and one way we measure that is through an independent survey that measures student satisfaction. We are delighted that 84% of Leeds Beckett students were satisfied with the overall quality of their course.

These outstanding results follow the findings of the Independent Student Barometer survey released earlier this year, which saw Leeds Beckett ranked first in the world for technology, with 94.6% satisfaction, and second in the world for virtual learning, with 95.6% satisfaction.

Being part of Leeds Beckett, you are not just joining a community of learners and educators but also a community of researchers. Our research is nationally and internationally recognised and often has a strong focus on industry applications.

Besides our established researchers, we also have a large community of postgraduate research students at a Master, professional doctorate, and PhD level. Who knows where your current studies take you - you might be joining them at some point in the future!
