An Introduction to the Montessori Method

Are you interested in finding out more about the child-centred, Montessori method? This FREE, online event is the first in a series of three twilight opportunities that aim to share and explore the principles and approaches associated with the Montessori method.

Participants in each of these twilight events will be given access to the premier of a short film produced by the International Montessori Institute 24 hours before the online event.

Our exclusive, new film for the first session will explore:

• The life and work of Maria Montessori
• The principles of Montessori education
• The Montessori classroom
• Skills fostered through the Montessori approach

Delegates will be invited to attend an online discussion with the International Montessori Institute team in which there will be the opportunity to explore the themes of the film. Discussion will assist participants to share and explore how the themes may be applied within the context of their own setting. Each of the online discussions will also see the International Montessori Institute team being joined by a special guest-practitioner.

The second session will take place on 21 April 2021 and will explore the Montessori approach to early language learning and literacy.

The third and final session will explore Montessori approach to early mathematics on 19 May 2021.
