Animations & Interaction

The Leeds Beckett University website occasionally uses animations to page elements and animated gifs to add impact to pages. If you wish to stop them from playing for accessibility purposes or for personal preference then please see the guidance below. Please note that browsers sometimes change how they operate, so please refer to your browser help files to find their latest information.
How do I turn off animations?

Chrome

Chrome users will need to use browser extensions. Animation Policy from Google will help you set your own preferences.

Microsoft Edge

There is currently no way to disable animations within Microsoft Edge. Users of Edge (Chromium) browser can install the Chrome extensions above and use them.

Internet Explorer

To stop animations on a single page you can just press the 'Esc' key. This will stop the animation on that page. If you wish to restart the animations you need to refresh the page. To permanently disable the playing of animated GIF images, open Internet Options > Advanced tab. Under the Multimedia section, uncheck the Play animations in webpage check-box, click Apply and Exit and then restart your computer.

Firefox

Type about:config in Firefox address bar and hit Enter to open Settings. Search for the image.animation_mode flag and change its value from Normal to None. Once you restart Firefox this will disable animations.

Our final year Bachelor's programmes may be suitable for you if you complete your HND or equivalent qualification in Nigeria or another overseas country.

Earn a UK Bachelor's degree in one year with your HND qualification

This is an opportunity for Nigerian students to progress to the final year of an undergraduate (Bachelor's) course at Leeds Beckett University.

With a minimum GPA of 2.5/2.6, you can be admitted to joining the final year of the undergraduate course of your choice. After one academic year, your HND qualification can be converted to a BA or BSc degree.

You can also choose to proceed with enrolling onto a Leeds Beckett Master’s degree programme upon completion of the final year of your undergraduate course.

Applying for a course

The first step is to decide which course you want to study.

You should choose a course which is closely related to the subject you studied for your HND so you can gain advanced entry to year 3 of a Leeds Beckett undergraduate course.

If you intend to study an undergraduate course that is not relevant to your HND subject, you should consider joining a course from year 1 instead.

Entry requirements

To join the final year of a Leeds Beckett BA, BSc, or BEng program, you must hold an HND certificate in a relevant field of study. You will need to upload copies of the following along with your application:

• HND certificate
• HND Transcript
• Academic/professional reference on a letterhead
• A personal statement of why you want to study with us
• Data page of international passport
• Study gap details (if any)
• English language test results

Tuition

The tuition for September 2022 entry is £14,000 (one year) with an automatic scholarship of £1,000 for Nigerian students.
