Animations & Interaction

The Leeds Beckett University website occasionally uses animations to page elements and animated gifs to add impact to pages. If you wish to stop them from playing for accessibility purposes or for personal preference then please see the guidance below. Please note that browsers sometimes change how they operate, so please refer to your browser help files to find their latest information.
How do I turn off animations?

Chrome

Chrome users will need to use browser extensions. Animation Policy from Google will help you set your own preferences.

Microsoft Edge

There is currently no way to disable animations within Microsoft Edge. Users of Edge (Chromium) browser can install the Chrome extensions above and use them.

Internet Explorer

To stop animations on a single page you can just press the 'Esc' key. This will stop the animation on that page. If you wish to restart the animations you need to refresh the page. To permanently disable the playing of animated GIF images, open Internet Options > Advanced tab. Under the Multimedia section, uncheck the Play animations in webpage check-box, click Apply and Exit and then restart your computer.

Firefox

Type about:config in Firefox address bar and hit Enter to open Settings. Search for the image.animation_mode flag and change its value from Normal to None. Once you restart Firefox this will disable animations.

Study the foundations of effective business management. This will include accounting and finance, data analytics and developing your understanding of markets and customers.

Delve into more complex topics in your second and third years, such as sustainability in business, strategy, ethics and the influence of AI you will also learn how businesses can use smart technology to become more sustainable, grow, adapt, improve, and ultimately succeed in future markets.

Networking with industry
Leeds Business School has strong industry links within the city and wider region. This will provide you with a range of opportunities to enhance your employability skills.

You’ll engage with real businesses through live projects, chair discussions and guest lectures. Past speakers include the CEO of the London Stock Exchange, the Chief Executive of the British Bankers Association and the Chief Economist of Yorkshire Bank.

Develop your practical experience
Apply your knowledge in real-world settings with an optional year-long placement in industry.

entry requirements

You will require a High School Grade 12 Diploma

Grade: GPA of 3 or above

English language requirements: High School Diploma Grade 12 English Grade C and a GPA of 3 overall OR AP English Grade 3

PLUS one or more of the following qualifications:

SAT Reasoning Test
Grade: Score of 1270 (including a minimum of 650 in Reading and Writing, and 620 in Math)
English language requirements: SAT Reasoning Test 650 in Reading and Writing or SAT Subject Test 550 in English (if test was taken before June 2021)

OR

American College Testing (ACT)
Grade: Overall score of 26 or above
English language requirements: ACT score including English overall score of 26

OR

2 Advanced Placement (AP) exam results
Grade: 3 or above
English language requirements: High School Diploma Grade 12 English Grade C and a GPA of 3 overall OR AP English Grade 3

Other relevant qualifications may also be considered as part of your application.
