Build your confidence before you start your degree with a foundation course
If you do not yet meet the requirements for direct undergraduate entry, our foundation pathway provides the academic preparation, study skills and subject knowledge needed to successfully progress onto your chosen sports degree. Through our trusted pathway partner Study Group, you can complete a foundation programme designed to prepare you for university study at Leeds Beckett.
During your foundation year, you will:
- Develop essential academic and English language skills
- Build confidence in university-level study
- Gain subject knowledge relevant to your chosen degree
- Experience studying in Leeds
- Be taught on our Headingley Campus
- Progress onto your undergraduate sports programme at Leeds Beckett (subject to meeting progression requirements)

If you meet the academic and English language requirements, you can apply directly to an undergraduate sports degree at Leeds Beckett University.
If you have already studied a foundation course, you can also progress onto one of our undergraduate courses.
