After you apply

What happens once you apply?

  1. Conditional Offer

If you have not met all of the entry requirements yet (e.g. you might be waiting to take exams or receive results) we may make you a conditional offer. This offer means we are happy to have you on the course, as long as you achieve the appropriate qualifications. Once you have documentation evidencing your meeting of the entry requirements please either upload these to your Apply Online account or email them to the team.

  2. We will process your application as quickly as possible and you should expect a decision within six weeks of applying unless there is a closing date for the course you have applied for in which case we will normally wait until this date has passed before considering all applications together.

Once we receive your application we’ll send you an email confirmation with your unique reference number. Your application will then be considered by our team who may be able to make you an offer straight away, may require more information, or may invite you to an interview.

The types of offer you could receive are:

  3. Unconditional Offer

If we are happy with your application and you have met all the entry requirements, then we can make you an unconditional offer. This means you definitely have a place on your chosen course. If you wish to accept our offer you will need to accept this through your Apply Online account.

  4. Unsuccessful application

If we are not able to offer you a place, you will receive an unsuccessful application notification. It may be possible that we can offer you an alternative course and we will contact you separately to discuss this.

Accommodation

Most of our accommodation is aimed at first year undergraduate students in halls of residence. As a postgraduate student, if you are moving away from home for your studies, you may prefer the smaller, private house environment available through Unipol Student Homes.

If you have a family who is moving with you for your studies, you can talk to Unipol about your needs. Do this quickly though as there are only a few houses designed for students with children.

Online Welcome Service

At Leeds Beckett, we give you a very warm welcome. Our Online Welcome Service will give you all the information you need prior to arriving and those first few weeks. You will be able to set up an account on this system when you have accepted your place with us.
