"I am a PhD candidate in History, researching civil defence and air raid precautions in twentieth century Britain. I hold a BA in History from Leeds Beckett University, and an MA in Urban Conservation from the University of Leicester. I was awarded the Dean’s Prize for outstanding achievement at Leeds Beckett University, and the David Reeder Prize for my MA dissertation on the Northern Ireland ‘Troubles’ at the University of Leicester.
My research interests include the history of conflict within Britain, architectural history and the conservation of historic buildings, with a wider interest in urban, social and cultural histories of modern Britain."
