'Victim-survivor's experience of acquaintance sexual assault and the impact of rape myths'

Maria Kaye

"I'm a counsellor working predominantly with women and girls, and a part-time PhD student in Psychology.

"My research explores the lived experiences of victim-survivors, with a particular focus on how rape myths influence how women understand and make sense of their experiences. Through this work, I aim to centre the voices of victim-survivors and contribute to social change by offering evidence-based recommendations for policy and practice in how sexual violence is understood and addressed."
