'Optimising acute oncology care for people living with dementia'
Rebecca Platt
The aim of this qualitative, ethnographic study is to examine acute oncology care needs and experiences of people living with dementia, their relatives and NHS staff who provided their care across two NHS Trusts in the north of England. Data generation methods included general and individual observations of acute cancer care (95 hours) and semi-structured interviews (n=19). Data were analysed using reflexive thematic analysis. The study is funded by the Alzheimer's Society and adopted to the NIHR portfolio (49531).
