In July 2025, 17 Leeds Beckett Law School students had the unique opportunity to take part in a subsidised study trip to Botswana.

In June 2025, the second Biomedical Science Summer School to China took place, following on from the first venture in 2024. Twenty students from the Leeds Beckett BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science course were selected to travel to our partner university in Guiyang (Guizhou Province).
The three day trip included visits to some key historic and modern-day buildings including Antoni Gaudi’s Casa Mila and Park Guell, the Mies Van de Rohe Pavillion, Santa Caterina Market Hall by Enric Miralles and Museum Blau by Herzog de Meuron.
In March 2024, a group of eight Computer Science students from Leeds Beckett, accompanied by Dr. Pooneh Bagheri Zadeh, Course Director for BSc/MEng Computer Science, travelled to Nepal for an academic visit as part of the LBU Global Student Exchange Programme.
In spring 2024, students from Leeds Business School were offered the opportunity to travel to Vietnam as part of an exchange with National Economics University in Hanoi. The two-week experience was designed to enhance students' marketing and business knowledge, deepen their cultural understanding, and build transferable and employability skills.
A group comprising 48 students and four staff members from the School of Architecture visited the Venice Architecture Biennale and a variety of other sites throughout Venice, featuring work by notable architects such as Kengo Kuma, Carlo Scarpa, Mario Botta, and OMA.
First year students on the BA Human Geography, BA Human Geography and Planning, BSc Geography and BSc Geography and Environmental Science courses recently returned from a field trip to Leeds’ twin city of Lille in Northern France as part of their Sustainable Urbanism module.
Undergraduate and postgraduate Landscape Architecture and Design students explored a rich variety of places, parks, docklands, business districts and city squares on a four-day field study tour to Amsterdam in The Netherlands.
Second and final year BA (Hons) Architecture students visited Lisbon, Portugal, as part of their ongoing design projects. The trip provided an opportunity to investigate how architecture responds to history, materiality, and environmental transformation within post-industrial contexts.
