Supporting transition to university
We appreciate that there is a lot to think about when you are planning to start university and we can offer support before you join Leeds Beckett University.
We have appointments available over the summer to speak to advisers about the support available. These appointments can be face-to-face on campus, on MS Teams or a phone call.
Please complete our Support and Adjustment Referral Form to begin the process.
If you have any questions the registration form, applying for Disabled Students Allowance (DSA) and DSA evidence, or what support is available at university, you can book a 15-minute quick queries appointment.
Over the summer Disability Services run Get Set transition events. This is an opportunity to come along and find out more about the support available to disabled students.
The events will include presentations about Disability Services and the process for setting up Reasonable Adjustments. Most disabled students are eligible for Disabled Students Allowances (DSA) and we will tell you about how to apply and the type of support that can be funded.
Get Set activities:
- An opportunity to familiarise yourself with the campus
- Meet other applicants who are starting their studies in September
- Meet the Disability Services team and find out how we can support you
- Have a campus tour which includes visiting the library
- Get Ready to Study workshop
- Meet representatives from Student Services and other University support teams
Event Times:
- City campus: Tuesday 19 August 2025, 10.00 – 15.00
