Covid-19 Update
The Beckett Careers team are here to support students and graduates with all aspects of career planning & decision making, along with helping you to recognise and develop your employability skills.
This can be anything from career planning and understanding options with your degree, writing CVs and applications, developing a good on-line presence, help with interviews, and applying for further study (including teacher training), to searching for jobs and getting part-time work, understanding how to make the most of graduate fairs, and plenty more!
TYPES OF SUPPORT AVAILABLE
We run daily drop-in sessions every weekday from 2-4pm. Hosted on-line, you can come with any careers query and we’ll direct you to support, resources, actions or events that can help you to progress. To find out more, login to MyHub and follow the links for Live Chat from the Careers Home Page.
You can find resources and interactive guides online covering all things career-related, including our CV360 tool, interview simulator and employability programmes.
Throughout the year we host workshops covering everything from CV writing through to developing your personal brand. We host employer-led events across multiple sectors and you can benefit from networking with recruiters and industry professionals
You can access a wide variety of part-time opportunities on our MyHub Jobs Board. We also, share regular updates through mailouts and social media so you can keep up to date with the latest vacancies and employers targeting Leeds Beckett students and graduates.
We’d recommend exploring graduate vacancies and programmes through our MyHub Jobs Board, which brings together immediate opportunities and those available post-graduation. Jobs listed here are with employers actively looking to recruit Leeds Beckett students and graduates.

It doesn’t matter if you’re just starting your first year at university or about to graduate, it’s important you make the most of this time to gain skills and experience outside of your course. You will find tons of great resources to help you with building your CV, crafting cover letters and filling in application forms using our online resources, we also run regular virtual sessions looking at CVs, Interview Skills and LinkedIn.
