Studying Sport and Exercise Science

I am the first in my family to enter higher education which only makes me more determined to be successful in my studies.

During my A levels, I always tried to stay consistent with going to the gym as from my own experience, it has really helped me both mentally and physically. I met a lot of like-minded people with the same interest in this community and really enjoyed talking to them. Eventually, the opportunity to gain my Level Two Gym Instructor was proposed to me by one of the gym instructors who worked there.

Throughout my life, sport and exercise has always been really important to me. I quickly realised that I would love to help, encourage, and support others to benefit from taking care of their own physical health and wellbeing. The experiences I have gained along with my studies has only made me more enthusiastic to pursue a career in the exercise and health industry.

How will the Carnegie Class of 78-82 Scholarship help?

The Carnegie Class of 78-82 Scholarship will give me the opportunity to access additional training or courses that will enhance my studies and my personal development that I may not otherwise be able to take.
