career planning and support

We are here to offer you help and support long after you graduate

We can help with all aspects of career planning and decision-making, along with helping you to recognise and develop your employability skills. This could help with career planning and understanding options with your degree, searching for jobs and writing a CV or application, making a killer impression at a job interview, developing a good online presence or advice on how to make the most of a graduate fair.

Thinking of starting a business?

Our extensive online Resource Centre helps graduates explore the possibility of starting a new business. The online support allows graduates to work through the 3 critical key stages:

  1. Explore: Is it for me?
  2. Prepare: The critical elements of business set-up
  3. Grow: How do I develop my business?

The support is underpinned by links and connections to relevant support beyond Leeds Beckett. If you graduated more than 2 years ago you'll need to contact the Careers team to be set up with a new account to access the online resources.

You can also email the Careers team to ask for support with starting a business or book in a 1:1 meeting.
