Facilities

In the Performing Arts subject area, we are dedicated to offering our students the best possible creative arts education. Whether you plan to study Dance, Theatre and Performance or Performing Arts, our Leeds School of Arts building will provide you with an industry standard 190-seat double-height theatre space, an 80-seat black box studio theatre, and three large performance studios situated against the backdrop of our city's skyline. Here, anyone who is passionate about the performing arts will find that our spaces, alongside our teaching and research, create an exciting environment for creativity and innovation within the arts.

Your teaching community

Our lecturers and researchers have a wide range of experience, and many are profiled on international stages. Our students have secured placements with the Company Chameleon in Manchester, international theatre-maker Ellie Harrison and with BMotion Festival in Italy. Together staff and students have profiled work at Latitude, the Edinburgh Fringe and Sibiu International Theatre Festival.
