Your Leeds Beckett Campus Card

Page last updated:
07 Sep 2025

Your campus card (or student ID) is your key to on-campus facilities and services.

On this page you’ll find information about what you’ll need your campus card for, how to get one if you’re a new student or if you need a replacement, and guidelines on providing a suitable photo for your card.

NEW STUDENTS

Your course team will tell you when and where you can collect your campus card during your course inductions. You will also receive an email confirming this. It’s important you read this email and collect your card at the correct time. Your collection email will be titled “Collect your LBU Campus Card”.

If you miss your collection, it will delay you getting your card and could make it difficult to access all university facilities until you do.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS - You must have completed international check-in before you can get your campus card.

Further details can be found below.

What is my campus card and what do I need it for?

When you start a new course for the first time, most students will receive a student campus card. Your card contains details about you, such as your name, your username and when your card expires. This card will be valid for the duration of your course as long as you remain enrolled as a student. It also contains a photo for identification purposes. Your campus card is essential for accessing key facilities and services on campus. You will need your card for:

  • Access to certain buildings
  • Printing while on campus
  • Access to sports facilities
  • Library access
  • Proof of student status for exams

  • You must be facing towards the camera and looking directly at it
  • Be appropriately dressed (no hats, sunglasses, and no shower selfies please!)
  • You can smile!
