Careers appointments

If you’ve checked out all of our resources and are still unsure about your next steps, book in to chat to one of our careers consultants via our contact details. They will be able to guide you and help you consider your career options.

We run daily drop-in sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 14:00–16:00. Hosted online, and with a real human being (no robots!). You can come with any careers or employability query, and we can give advice, as well as direct you to relevant support, resources or events to help you progress.

Just head to MyHub and click on Beckett Careers Online. You’ll see a chat bubble in the corner when the team are live.

You can find resources and interactive guides covering all things career-related, including our CV360 tool, interview simulator and employability programmes.

Resources

Throughout the year we host workshops covering everything from CV writing through to developing your online presence. We host employer-led events across multiple sectors so that you can benefit from networking with recruiters and industry professionals.

Events

You can access a wide variety of part-time roles via our MyHub jobs board. If you are looking for work experience, project work, internships or anything else on a shorter term basis, our Skills Hub is the place to go. We often share opportunities via email and also on our Twitter and Instagram accounts.

We have a dedicated Placements team to support you in finding and applying for sandwich years if this is something your course offers – you can start your search here. If not, don’t worry. You can complete short-term placements throughout your time at university to help build experience and the team can help you with that too.

We’d recommend exploring graduate vacancies and programmes through our MyHub Jobs Board – as every role listed on here has been added by employers looking to hire Leeds Beckett students and graduates. Remember, your degree doesn’t define you, and if you want to explore something a bit different, we can support you in doing that.
