Please read these terms carefully before using the online payment facility.

Using the online payment facility on this website indicates that you accept these terms. If you do not accept these terms do not use this facility.

Terms and conditions

  1. 1. Definitions 

    • University: Leeds Beckett University
    • Course: a programme of study or programme of research
    • Student: a person registered or intending to register with the university for a course
    • Fees: the tuition, accommodation and other fees payable by the student to the university
    • Tuition fees: the fees payable by the student in respect of the course
    • Accommodation fee: The fee payable by the student in respect of the student's residence in accommodation provided by the university

  2. 2. Payment of fees

    • 2.1 The description of goods or services is specific to you (i.e. course name, academic year etc.) when you log in with your unique password 
    • 2.2 All fees quoted are in GBP - UK pound Sterling. The university reserves the right to review its fee charging policy at any time
    • 2.3 Your payment will normally reach the university account to which you are making a payment within three working days
    • 2.4 We cannot accept liability for a payment not reaching the correct university account due to you quoting incorrect details. Neither can we accept liability if payment is refused or declined by the credit / debit card supplier for any reason
    • 2.5 If the card supplier declines payment the university is under no obligation to bring this fact to your attention. You should check with your bank / credit / debit card supplier that payment has been deducted from your account

  3. 3. Fee payment / instalment arrangements

    • 3.1 It is the student's responsibility to ensure payment of all fees ( whether being paid directly by the student, or on the student's behalf by a third party such as a relative, employer or other sponsor) are made in a timely manner and in accordance with the prevailing terms and regulations

    • 3.2 The payment of any fee does not in itself indicate the existence of a contract between the university and the student
    • 3.3 Tuition fees displayed within this online payment facility are based on information available / provided at the outset, however may be subject to change should supplementary information lead to a reassessment
  4. 4. Refunds

    In the event that any payments of fees made to the university are to be refunded (either fully or in part) the university will make the refund via the same method as the original transaction. If, for reasons beyond the university's control, refund cannot be made via the originating method, we will ask for bank details of the payer in order to refund the monies.

  5. 5. Failure to meet payment due dates

    The university makes payment by set due dates a pre-condition of entry onto its tuition fee payment instalment arrangements. In addition the university may levy a late payment penalty charge and / or late payment interest charges for any payment not made by the applicable due date.

  6. 6. Security

    • 6.1 All payment details which are entered through this payment gateway are encrypted. The site is secure using 128 bit encryption to offer secure communications by encrypting all data to and from the site. 
    • 6.2 The university shall not be liable for any failure by the user of this online payment system to properly protect data from being seen on their screen by other persons or otherwise obtained by such other persons, during the Online Payment process or in respect of any omission to provide accurate information in the course of the Online Payment process.
