Student communities

Leeds Beckett Students' Union (LBSU) is the place for socialising and finding like-minded friends! One of their missions is to provide communities for all students at Leeds Beckett and to empower their members to organise. You'll find more than 60 different communities based on academic, liberation, faith, nationality and interest categories. You can join any community that interests you or where you feel you belong! They provide a supportive environment where you can meet others, shape your uni experience, and truly feel at home at Leeds Beckett.

Volunteering

Another great way to meet people outside of your course is to volunteer! Voluntary Action Leeds (VAL) is a charity that supports communities by helping people and organisations that do good in Leeds.

The Hive

Your Students' Union also provide you with a socialising space on City Campus called The Hive. If you're looking for somewhere to have a nice lunch on campus, grab a coffee in the morning, studying between lectures or get a drink with friends, The Hive is the place to go. They have veggie, vegan, halal and gluten-free options available! If you're a music fan, you're in luck, you'll also find a gig venue attached to The Hive.
