Social life at Leeds Beckett University

Another great way to meet people outside of your course is to volunteer! Voluntary Action Leeds (VAL) is a charity that supports communities by helping people and organisations that do good in Leeds.

We have a wide range of sports, activities and employment opportunities that you can get involved in during your time at Leeds Beckett. We have two gyms, one strength & conditioning space, a swimming pool, a running track and a wide range of fitness classes that can be accessed with all student memberships – and if you want to take part in sport, we have 38 different clubs both for beginners and seasoned players– with both competitive and social options.
