The Carnegie Education Evaluation Unit

Abstract, primary coloured shapes

Our school has a long and distinguished history in initial teacher education, continuing professional development and educational research.

As one of the leading providers of teacher education, school improvement and evidence-informed practice is central to our mission and our dedicated Education Evaluation Unit was created to support schools, colleges and other organisations in the following areas:

  • Research Design
  • Mixed-methods research (quantitative and qualitative)
  • Data collection through the use of surveys, questionnaires, focus groups and interviews with a range of stakeholders
  • Institution-wide data analysis including performance data and financial benchmarking
  • Evidence based school improvement
  • Self-evaluation and planning

Making full use of its collective knowledge, experience, skills and expertise, the Unit is ideally placed to undertake projects focused on areas such as school improvement, attainment, diversity, coaching and mentoring, and pedagogy across educational settings. It is also ideally placed to undertake education-related responsible business consultancy and evaluation for corporate clients.
