national student money week

The Student Money Team are hosting two free events for National Student Money Week 2026, themed Future Ready – Money Skills for Success. Improve your financial well-being skills, future financial planning or get support with day to day challenges as a student.

Alongside the team, external partners will be offering additional advice and guidance. There’ll also be an online quiz launching from Monday 2 March, so keep an eye on your inbox.

EMBRACE CIRCULAR FASHION AT THE OXFAM POP-UP

A one-day pop up shop in partnership with Oxfam is heading to campus on Tuesday 17 March. Organised and ran by students, for students, expect curated pre-loved fashion, books, music and accessories. 
Taking over the Rose Bowl atrium, expect live DJ’s, styling support, and a denim workshop where you can personalise or repair items. 
Having a clear out? You can bring along your clothing to donate!

Our current students have told us that the best time to talk about Placement Year is at the end of your first year, whether you're certain about doing a placement or just exploring the idea. That's why we've created this special Placement Bootcamp just for you!

Get ahead of the curve! This event will ensure you’re fully prepared for a successful Placement Year, ready to make the most of both your summer and second year. Join us for a day of learning, networking and empowerment - all designed to give you a competitive edge! This bootcamp is targeted towards first years currently on a course that is eligible for Placement Year for 2026/2027. If you are not sure if your course is eligible for Placement Year please check the online prospectus module information or email placements@leedsbeckett.ac.uk.

Weekly creative wellbeing session

From February, a new free wellbeing session is heading to City Campus. 

For female identifying students under 25, the weekly session offers a free, confidential space to get creative. 
Hosted by Women's Health Matters, each week will be open to a small group of participants, with all art supplies being provided.
