Car Parking

For some journeys, travelling by car is the only option. You can still reduce your fuel consumption, costs and emissions by using the park and rides for city campus, car sharing, greener driving technique and by using car clubs.

Our campus car parks are administered by our car park co-ordinator. Resident permits are dealt with by the Accommodation team and our Disability Advice team deal with accessibility requests.

There is limited fee-based student parking at both the City Campus and Headingley Campus - details of this are below. Students with accessibility needs may be eligible for free parking or a parking permit. There are limited parking permits available at Headingley Campus for students.

Hire a bike

Whether you’re looking for an opportunity to engage in some daily exercise, to explore our wonderful city, or as a more environmentally friendly and cost-effective way to get about, we can help. Bike hire contracts are available for up to three months at a time. If you need the bike for longer, you simply renew your contract online. You can usually keep your bike until July. We need them back for servicing in August. Masters students can keep bikes into September.
