Studying Project Management

Choosing to study Project Management made complete sense for me. Prior to enrolling at university, I attained qualifications in engineering and so this course felt like the right fit based on my experiences. Engineering and built environment professions are really male dominated, so to be one of the first female students to receive the Andrew Platten Scholarship feels like such an achievement.

I know that I have a purpose in this world. I know that I have a voice, experiences, and a rare perspective. I feel that I have the potential to make an impact not only within Leeds Beckett University but also beyond applicable to men and women alike.

How will The Andrew Platten Scholarship help your studies?

I intend to use the funds from the scholarship to make the most of the opportunities available to me. These opportunities include but are not limited to: being financially able to attend the scheduled site visits & academic trips; engaging in extra seminars; attending industry-based conferences to gain further insights from successful professionals in the Project and Business management industry; and travelling to student groups to learn from and help other students within my course where possible.
