Students testing in lab

Matt works as a rehabilitation therapist at West Leeds RUFC; a role he secured through a contact he made whilst doing his undergraduate degree. Whilst working, Matt is also studying a full-time masters course and has two part-time jobs (one of which is doing sports massage for physio).

“On my undergraduate course we covered psychology in sport; now on my masters I am learning about injury management, including the psychology, physiology, bio mechanics and all that links into sports performance, preventing injuries, getting people to their optimum performance.” Matt says

He goes on to say: “The skills I learnt on my undergraduate course tie in well with my masters and I can now refocus and put it into practice so it fits well with what I've learnt quite nicely. The postgraduate course is intense but it's definitely worth it; I have learnt so much that I can put into practice.”
