Your campus card (or student ID) is your key to on-campus facilities and services.

On this page you’ll find information about what you’ll need your campus card for, how to get one if you’re a new student or if you need a replacement, and guidelines on providing a suitable photo for your card.

What is my campus card and what do I need it for?

When you start a new course for the first time, most students will receive a student campus card. Your card contains details about you, such as your name, your username and when your card expires. It also contains a photo for identification purposes. Your campus card is essential for accessing key facilities and services on campus. You will need your card for:

  • Access to certain buildings

  • Printing while on campus
  • Access to sports facilities
  • Library access
  • Proof of student status for exams

Useful information to know about your campus card

To benefit from the thousands of student discounts available, you do not require your university campus card. Instead, you will need to apply for an NUS Totum card. You can apply directly through the NUS website and select that your card is posted to you.

Your new campus card will be pre-loaded with £1 printer credit. You can top up this amount through logging into MyBeckett.

  • Enrolled online - you can do so when invited by text or email via Online Welcome.
  • Uploaded your ID documentation (UK students) or passport/VISA details (international students) to Online Welcome as you enrol.
  • Your ID checked and confirmed by your Course Administrator (UK students) or Student Immigration Advice and Compliance (international students) - if the documentation does not meet the criteria, you may be asked to provide further/alternative documentation before this can be completed and you collect your campus card.
  • Completed any other pre-enrolment checks relating to DBS - details of any further pre-enrolment checks you need to complete, will be provided to you in Online Welcome.
