If you are a current Leeds Beckett student, you may be able to work as a Student Ambassador. Student Ambassadors promote the university and their courses to prospective students either online or during in-person events such as Open Days and Applicant Days.

In this page you'll find information about what our ambassadors do and what to do if you'd like to become an ambassador.

We have four types of ambassadors:

Global Ambassadors work with the International Recruitment and Partnerships team on a wide range of activities including Meet & Greet for new students at Uk airports,  Welcome Week Activities in both September and January arrivals. Help run events through our Global Village for international students including trips, socials throughout the year and run our weekly Global Village Café.  Work with our overseas teams on speaking to applicants about their own experience as a student at Leeds Beckett. Applications are welcome from both International and home students.

Ambassadors work on our Open Days and Applicant Days. They meet and greet prospective students on our events, lead tours of our campuses and work alongside course leaders to answer questions about their course. Recruitment Ambassadors can also apply for the role of Outreach Ambassadors. These are a small group of Ambassadors who work with the Student Outreach team. The Ambassadors visit schools and colleges to talk to students about higher education and Leeds Beckett, and inspire them to consider applying to university.

Ambassadors work on the online talk-to-a-student chat platform. They reply to online messages from prospective students and applicants about our university, student life in Leeds, course information, accommodation, application advice and any other questions related to their journey to Leeds Beckett.

Blog Squad Ambassadors create blogs and vlogs about a wide range of topics relating to their university experience to showcase what life at Leeds Beckett is like, and to help prospects and applicants in their decision-making process. These Ambassadors also have the opportunity to create content for social media including podcasts, Instagram photos / videos and TikTok videos.
