Not sure where to start? It it's not convenient to pop in and have an initial chat with the Student Advice Hub team, a good first port of call is to see if there is some information or an on-line resource that helps you out. You might then want to see if there is a workshop or event that relates to what you are interested in. For confidential, 1-1 help and guidance you can then book an appointment to talk to one of our Careers Consultants. Of course, you can always ask us a question, drop us an email, check out our InstagramFacebook and Twitter accounts or have a look at some careers related Frequently Asked Questions. We're always keen to get student feedback on our service, to help us improve for the future.

Further Information

Plus Icon What is employability anyway?
Often talked about, but not always very well explained! In simple terms, employability is about making sure that you have the skills, experience and attributes that employers are looking for in a graduate. Our FAQ on Employability will explain everything you need to know.
Plus Icon Do you need help with placements?

If you need help with placements, you can get in touch with your Placement team. Go to Placement Information to find further information.

Plus Icon What kind of things do you help with?

It's nearly impossible to list everything we can help with but here are some examples of common topics. You'll find workshops that cover many of these topics, or you can discuss them as an individual in a careers appointment. Most of these are links to on-line resources too:

CVs & applications, interviews, assessment centres & psychometric tests, networking, LinkedIn, further study, getting into teaching, career planning, options with your degree, changing course, graduate job search, working overseas, understanding employability, researching employers, gaining skills & experience, part-time work
