Our students have access to outstanding learning facilities to support their studies, including our state of the art Media Suite, The Trading Floor and our immersive Simulation Suite.

The Rose Bowl

Rose Bowl opened in May 2009 as Britain’s newest purpose-built business school. Conveniently located in the heart of Leeds City Centre, the Rose Bowl is easily accessible by public transport and within walking distance from the central train and bus stations.

The Business Engagement Suite

The Business Engagement Suite offers a creative space for students to collaborate with businesses on key projects as part of their studies. With access to iMacs, a soft seating area and a screen for presentations, students are able to host meetings and work in an agency styled environment.

The Simulation Suite

The Simulation Suite aims to deliver a personal, flexible, inclusive and professional experience. Critical decision immersive simulations are specifically designed to develop participants skills as informed vocational practitioners, confident in knowing their capabilities and able to operate effectively as leaders and group participants in their chosen areas. The simulations replicate the complexities of real life scenarios that would challenge decision makers, aiming to improve decision making, critical thinking, communication and leadership skills.

Trading Floor

Our Trading Floor provides access to information and tools through Thomson Reuters and DataStream. This includes local and global economic and business news, historical and real-time economic and business data, the creation and monitoring of portfolio performance, firm level information, visual analysis through charting, thousands of research works on country and firm performance and the facility to transfer the information into relevant software. Thomson Reuters is one of the largest databases in the world and all these resource are equally important to students, professionals, researchers and academic staff.

Media Suite

The Media Suite consists of our Newsroom, TV and Radio studios.

Newsroom and Editing Suite
Our newsroom is complete with 20 workstations, both Apple and Microsoft PCs for video and audio editing. Our newsroom offers students a space to plan, produce and carry out post-production effectively.

TV Studio
We have a multi functioning TV studio, which offers a three camera setup, green screen, two auto cue prompters, wireless radio microphones and a full lighting rig. Our specialist industry standard software, Broadcast pix allows us to chromo key automatically and provide a virtual backdrop for a variety of TV sets as well as create on-air graphics instantly.

Radio Studio
Our radio broadcast system is a professional broadcast studio which offers a synergy master control unit and on-air software, allowing for a full playlist creation, cart creation, recording and access to a live music library.

Social Learning Space

We offer a number of social learning spaces across our city campus located in various buildings including Rose Bowl and Broadcasting Place, where students can access the internet, print facilities and undertake group work.

Lecture Theatres and Teaching Spaces

The Rose Bowl offers flexible teaching and learning spaces, state-of-the-art conferencing and IT facilities and various meeting rooms. The dramatic central bowl at the heart of the complex houses one 250-seat, two 139-seat and four 64-seat lecture theatres.


You will have unbounded access to a host of fantastic learning resources within both our library at city campus and our online learning facility. In addition, specialist librarians are on hand to assist and provide online guides to their subjects with links to major reports, journals, newspapers, books, ebooks and websites.
